The Purpose of Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is about connecting with others and celebrating God’s healing power through 8 Recovery Principles and 12 Steps. Ready for change? Looking for addiction support? By working and applying biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually, and become free from our destructive behaviors and addiction. This freedom creates peace, joy, and most importantly, a stronger relationship with God and others.

As we progress through various steps to recovery together, we’ll discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

What to Expect

7:00-8:00 pm – Main Session in Room 255

Every week we begin with a time of focusing our hearts on Jesus through music and prayer. From there, we either have a teaching time or a sharing night, alternating each week.

8:00-9:00 pm – Open Share Groups (Gender Specific)

Open Share Groups are context and gender specific groups for open discussion in the safety of a small group closed environment with a trained leader. Small group guidelines are followed to provide a safe place to share. For newcomers, a special Newcomers 101 group is available.

9:00 pm – Community Time

Stay for a little while afterwards and get to know others who are on their journey of recovery, too. Connect over coffee, tea and a light snack.

I've been to Celebrate Recovery three times now. Each time I am overcome with a sense that God knows me, and still He loves me. He sees me before, now, and in the future ... He knows all of me. Still He looks upon me with a sense of pride that I'm His creation and nothing could ever happen where He wouldn't want me. I'm so thankful for my church family at FAC."
