Food Bank

FAC Deerfoot is a referral agency and pick-up location for food hampers with the Calgary Food Bank. To join the team that sorts donations and distributes food hampers each week or to ask for a hamper referral, please contact Valentina Smith.

Schools

For over a decade, we’ve been supporting and building relationships with students and teachers in specific schools in South Calgary. This looks like running a breakfast store for hungry kids, hosting BBQs, and helping out with tangible needs like school supplies. Ask how you can get involved! Contact Pastor Michelle Peters.

Radiance Society

Join us as we support Radiance Society as they provide a nurturing sanctuary, transformative resources, and a lifeline for women and children escaping domestic violence in our city. Contact Pastor Michelle Peters to ask how you can help.

The Mustard Seed

Support the work of The Seed with us as they help those navigating homelessness and poverty in our city. From serving in one of their kitchens to getting involved and building relationships through the community hubs, ask how you can get involved! Contact Pastor Michelle Peters to ask how you can help.

Item Donations

Support Calgarians in need through FAC by donating unopened household cleaning supplies and paper products, and new/like new household goods, kitchenware, or furniture. (Sorry, we can’t accept used mattresses, clothing, shoes, sleeper sofas, or decor). Contact Valentina Smith to arrange a donation drop-off at FAC Deerfoot.

Short Term Missions
We partner with churches and trusted organizations like Inca Link and IJM to learn and to serve as we join Jesus in the work He is already doing around the world. Experience God’s heart for the nations and see what renewal looks like across cultures! Contact Bev Dow to learn more or to apply for 2026 mission trips:

International Workers
We support people who are committed to joining Jesus long-term in being a light in places around the world where there’s limited access to the gospel. Indigenous
The land where FAC gathers is Treaty 7 territory and the traditional territories of the KtunaxaɁamakɁis, Michif Piyii (Métis), Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), and Tsuu T’ina Nations. With a posture of learning and reconciliation, we’ve formed a partnership with New Life Indian Fellowship in Prince Albert, SK to support our friends in being the light of Jesus in their community. Have a passion for Latin America? Learn how you can be part of our partnership with Inca Link and their mission to join Jesus in renewing the youth of this people group in countries like Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico and more with the irresistible love of Jesus!

IJM
Does your heart beat fast for social justice? Explore how you can get involved through FAC with International Justice Mission and their mission of protecting people in poverty around the world from trafficking, slavery, and violence against women and children.

Make a difference right where you are! Ask how you can become a prayer partner and receive partnership updates, or support those serving on the ground by giving to the Missions Fund at FAC.

Refugee Sponsorship
As a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH) with the Government of Canada, we help individuals located in the local Calgary area with submitting their refugee applications. We are currently unable to accept any new applications at this time.

For now, please make sure you are eligible, you have all the required documents, and are able to provide the finances for your sponsorship. To book an appointment, please contact Pastor Michelle Eng. Not in Calgary? Please find an SAH near you in Canada.

Newcomer Support
There are so many ways you can help make a sponsored refugee feel welcome and a little less overwhelmed when they arrive in Calgary! From offering assistance with paperwork, to financial support, helping with English skills, or simply being a friend.

ESL Classes

We offer English Conversation Groups twice a year to help newcomers to Canada practice and improve their English and build vocabulary. Build community and connect with other English learners to help them feel welcome at FAC!
