Stampede Breakfast: Thanks for Serving!

Yahoo! On July 9-10, we hosted Stampede Breakfast at both the Deerfoot and Southwest campuses. The sun was shining, the smell of pancakes filled the air, sausages were sizzling on the grill, live music was playing, and giggles could be heard from the bouncy castles. It was a time full of food, fun, and connection not only as a church family but with the broader community, too – something that was so needed after the last several years!

Family at Stampede Breakfast

Not only did we get to connect with each other as a church family, (we had volunteers of all ages, ranging from ages 12 to 80!) but we had the amazing opportunity to connect with and serve about 2,500 people from the communities surrounding both campuses!

“I loved that I got to help with the kids area which is something I had never done before, it was actually fun. Plus I really liked that I got to invite a friend who had never set foot at church.” – Andrea, Worship Team volunteer

Close to 100 volunteers came to serve in various roles, amounting to a total of 503 volunteer hours throughout the weekend! To the greeters, servers, the clean-up crew, the take-down and set-up team, bouncy castle supervisors, photographers and every role in between – running events such as these are not possible without you.

Thank you for serving at Stampede Breakfast!

“I enjoy taking photos, however, taking photos of people in the Lord’s presence and seeing people interact, connect, and just being happy makes it even enjoyable.” – Onyie, volunteer photographer

“For me, it was a pleasure to see people there, and it was so nice to see people united – even for 45 minutes! It was a beautiful thing.” Iulian, Guest Services & Harvest volunteer

Thank you for helping build lives that honour God!
