Weekly News
Welcome to FAC (First Alliance Church)! To translate the website into your preferred language, look for the drop-down option in the main menu. Here are this week’s announcements:

Overview: Jesus doesn’t just promise to bring resurrection. He says something even more powerful. “I am the resurrection and the life.” The power of life itself is in His hands. Even the dead respond to His voice. When He says, “Lazarus, come out!” the dead man walks. This isn’t just a future hope. It is a present reality. (Scripture: John 11:17-44)

Membership Class
Membership here at FAC means you’re “all in” as part of this church community; it means you agree with what we believe and want to actively participate as we join Jesus in the renewal of all things, together! Register now to join us for a free online Membership Class on February 3 at 7:00 pm.
FAC Prayer Night
One of the ways we join Jesus is by being a church that is all praying. Come be part of our next churchwide Prayer Night on February 11 at 7:00 pm, and let's continue to create space to hear from God together (NOTE: There will be no English prayer gathering at FAC Deerfoot this month):
English: Online via Facebook LIVE (12:00 noon) or SW Office & Ministry Centre (2nd Floor)
En Español: Centro de Oración, FAC Deerfoot
Em Portugês: Salas de Colheita AB, FAC Deerfoot
Couples' Ministry: Date Night
Sometimes the best thing to keep a marriage thriving is to share a laugh! We’re making date night easy by bringing the Date Night Comedy Tour to FAC Deerfoot on February 13. Register now to save your seats and enjoy a night of clean comedy and fun together.
In your first 10 years of marriage? Check out the First5/Next 5 couples’ groups that meet Sunday afternoons for encouragement and community.

Journeying with God through Grief
"We celebrated Christmas 2013 as a family, and then three of us headed to Edmonton on Boxing Day to celebrate with our only blood relatives in Alberta, Helga’s brother and his family. Except for our middle son Tom, the other kids all had commitments and other plans. Little did we know when we returned, our family would never be the same again..."
Phil & Helga Bauer share how they've learned how to give and receive hospitality and care, even after their lives were forever changed by grief.
