What’s LAUNCH Student Discipleship?
LAUNCH is a 2-year discipleship program for grade 6-8 students. It’s designed to help students grow in their walk with Jesus, and move their faith from personal to influential.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12, NIV)
What We Do
- Serve regularly and consistently in a ministry area of FAC (options include but aren’t limited to: FAC Music, DiscoveryLand, Technical Arts, Hospitality).
- Complete all paperwork and training for serving.
- Attend monthly discipleship gatherings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (1 absence per semester allowed; see below schedule).
- Apply what we’re learning in our personal life.
What We Learn
We follow a curriculum called “Multiply.” It’s about growing discipleship principles in students’ lives, and influencing the faith of others. Each year we’ll learn four of Multiply’s eight roots of discipleship:
Year 1: Rescue | Knowledge | Kingdom | Outreach
Year 2: Apologetics | Worship | Community | Identity
Students completing both years will receive a graduation certificate.
