Deeply Devoted

1 Chronicles 16:11 tells us to “seek the Lord…seek his face continually.

So often, our days can be consumed by seeking after his hand – those things we want God to do for us. But how often do we seek his face? We come to God saying, “Help me with this. Or, “fix this”. Or, “Give me this.” That posture isn’t wrong; God wants us to come to him with our needs because he delights in helping us. It brings him joy to give us good things and do good things for us. But we often leave it at that where the only time we talk to him is when we want him to do something for us. This verse reminds us to go to God for the pure, simple joy of being with him. Of spending time in his presence.

Let’s ‘seek God’s face’ together. We’ll gain some new insights to reframe our approach to devotional time and discover a pathway to experiencing a vibrant relationship with the God who loves us and longs for us to spend time with him.
