The Connect Course

This 9-session course by Empowered to Connect is designed to support post-placement adoptive and foster parents, but also applies to anyone navigating past distress or trauma with their children. Offered in a small group setting, it runs Sundays, 3:00-5:00 pm. Be equipped with a holistic understanding of your child’s needs and development while being empowered with the tools and strategies to effectively meet those needs, build trust, and help your child heal and grow. Taught from a Christian perspective while drawing on a wide range of resources, learn to understand the impact of your child’s history, what you bring to the parent-child relationship, the fundamentals of attachment, the impact of fear, and the importance of meeting their child’s sensory processing, nutritional and other physiological needs. Consistent attendance by both spouses (if married) is required for participation in this course. Single parents are strongly encouraged to attend with a support person. Questions or concerns?
