‘Splash’ into summer at FAC DiscoveryCamps!
You can have a ton of fun volunteering with the kids at this year’s “Scuba” themed summer camp. You can help kids dive into friendship with God! At ‘Scuba’ VBS, kids explore what it means to have a friendship with a real, loving, trustworthy God—a friendship that lasts forever! This camp will be full of faith discoveries, memorable music, and epic adventures that help kids grow in faith!
DiscoveryCamps @FAC are almost entirely volunteer-run, and there are many ways to get involved! We’d love to have you join our team!
All DiscoveryCamps Training and Safety
All volunteers (new and returning) will be required to attend one mandatory camp training session. More information will be provided to volunteers later.
Because we value the safety of campers and volunteers …
- Screening and police checks (adults) are required for all staff and volunteers.
- Children will only be released to guardians or those who are registered as alternates.
- To ensure appropriate supervision, we restrict the ratio of children to leaders that each leader may have in their group.

Preschool and Grade School Volunteer Hours: 8:30 am-12:30 pm
NOTE: Deerfoot Grade School volunteers must be entering grade 9 or above in September 2024. Deerfoot Preschool volunteers must be entering grade 7 or above in September 2024.
Volunteer Camper Discount for Deerfoot Camps: As a great big thank you for volunteering at our Deerfoot camps, there are some volunteer perks you should know about! All adult volunteers are eligible to receive one FREE child camp registration (value $70). Once you sign up, Pastor Crystal will contact you to confirm your role and your child’s registration. Please Note: To receive a discount, volunteers must be 18+. One discount per adult volunteer.

Location: FAC Southwest Campus, 16520 24 Street SW (Glenmore Christian Academy)
Preschool Volunteer Hours: 8:00 am-12:45 pm
Grade School Volunteer Hours: 8:00 am-4:15 pm
NOTE: Southwest Grade School volunteers must be entering grade 9 or above in September 2024. Southwest Preschool volunteers must be entering grade 7 or above in September 2024.
Volunteer Honorarium @FAC Southwest: All volunteers at FAC Southwest DiscoveryCamps will receive an honorarium. Contact us for more information.
